The S&P 500 is on chain!!!
Some projects are currently trying to move traditional financial indices like the S&P 500 onto the blockchain! In the future, you won't need to open an account with a brokerage or buy ETFs; you will be able to "hold the S&P 500 on-chain."
Traditional finance + crypto integration is gradually transforming into a "new financial" model.
The advantages of doing this are obvious: it is transparent on the blockchain, and the collection of taxes is also harder to trace compared to traditional securities accounts.
However, it seems that the technology is still in the adaptation stage, with a focus on asset custody and compliance processing not yet fully rolled out.
I checked and found that tokens can simulate the S&P 500 trend using synthetic assets or on-chain ETFs.

Generally, subscriptions are made on their platform, rather than buying and selling casually like ordinary coins.
If this system matures in the future, the trend will be very clear: using wallets to buy US stocks, using S&P 500 tokens as collateral to borrow USD, and even using these assets to participate in DeFi.
