Frequent wildfires: Canada attempts a new method of seed-planting reforestation.
On July 2, Jin10 reported that Canada has experienced frequent wildfires in recent years, leading to a rapid disappearance of forests, and artificial seeding has become an effective means of reforestation. Currently, local efforts are underway to use drones to drop special capsules containing tree seeds in order to accelerate vegetation recovery. According to a report by AFP on the 2nd, a company named "Flash Forest" is collaborating with local communities in Quebec, Canada, to use large drones to drop these special capsules in areas affected by wildfires. The capsules contain seeds from species such as black spruce and red pine, as well as water, nutrients, and fungi, making this method more efficient than traditional seeding for reforestation.
