Abstract generation in progress

In a recent tweet, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said that Ethereum needs new people, especially young people who believe in the original ideas behind blockchain technology. In a recent tweet, he emphasized the need for fresh minds to share the cypherpunk vision, focusing on decentralization, privacy, and freedom. "What Ethereum needs is a lot of young people sharing the cypherpunk vision," he said in the tweet.

He said many Ethereum pioneers have become "frustrated", putting the responsibility of network management on the next generation. Meanwhile, the Ethereum Foundation (EF) has recently undergone significant leadership changes. Vitalik mentioned in the report on January 18, 2025 that these changes have taken place over the past year. Some are public, while others are still in progress. EF is also working to accelerate the development process while ensuring core values such as privacy rights, open source development, and anti-censorship remain a focus. In September 2024, one of the company's lead researchers, Danny Ryan, left after seven years. In January 2025, Hsiao-Wei Wang joined the EF leadership team, bringing her expertise in Ethereum Layer 1 research and her original work on sharding. Buterin assures everyone that EF will not deviate from its core principles or become a central authority. Instead, he welcomes those with ideas to start their own projects.
