According to the Economic Crime Investigation Corps of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, virtual currency-related business activities are illegal financial activities in China. Using virtual currency as a cross-border transaction medium to realize the illegal exchange of foreign exchange and RMB is an illegal foreign exchange transaction.
