The third halving occurred on May 11, 2020, after 630,000 blocks were mined. The reward was reduced from 12.5 BTC to 6.25 BTC. Bitcoin's price was $8,560.6 that day, reaching a peak of $67,775.3 this cycle, with an increase of 791.71%.
The fourth halving, scheduled for April 24, 2024, will go live on 840,000 mined blocks, bringing the reward down to 3,125 BTC. Details about the price on the day of the halving, the maximum price in this cycle, and the maximum increase have not yet been announced.
