Overview of Sui Liquid Staking Hackathon Finalists

After more than 40 days of registration and careful selection, the Sui liquid staking Hackerthon has completed the evaluation of all participating projects, and the final shortlist has been freshly released. Six teams from each track have successfully advanced to the Demo Day stage, let's get to know these outstanding projects.

Shortlisted Projects

1. Aftermath Finance: A one-stop decentralized trading platform built on Sui Move, offering CLOB settlement for spot, perpetual contracts, and options, as well as CMMM functionality for long-tail assets and indices, and also features an integrated money market.

2. DegenHive: Combining the innovative governance model of centralized liquidity DEX and HiveVerse NFT, it aims to fully leverage the potential of $SUI on the Sui network.

3. Haedal Protocol: A liquid staking protocol based on Sui, where users can stake $SUI to obtain haSUI, contributing to ecological governance and decentralization while participating in DeFi activities to earn additional rewards.

4. Interest Protocol: A DeFi protocol that supports swapping and lending, where liquidity providers can use LP tokens as collateral to borrow the stablecoin Sui Dollar to hedge against impermanent loss risk.

5. SUISA: A DeFi protocol on Sui that allows users to stake $SUI to earn stSUI, which can also be used to mint NFTs.

6. Volo: A liquid staking solution on Sui that helps users maximize the utility and liquidity of SUI by providing voloSUI.

LST DeFi and tool track

1. Aftermath Finance: Same as the description above.

2. Bucket Protocol: A CDP protocol on Sui, featuring non-custodial, immutable, and governance-free characteristics. Users can use $SUI, $BTC, $ETH, and LST as collateral to obtain the required tokens at zero interest, aiming to become the DeFi engine of the Sui network.

3. Desig: Provides a multi-signature solution that is fully compatible with all DApps on both EVM and non-EVM chains.

4. Kana Labs: User-friendly applications aimed at DeFi and GameFi, dedicated to co-building the web3 future.

5. Legato: Provides a fixed rate solution for liquid staking assets and predicts the annual interest rate fluctuations on Sui. The project won first place in the Tokyo WebX Move hackathon in July 2023.

6. Wisp Swap: A decentralized trading and prediction market on Sui, adopting an asymmetric concentrated liquidity DEX model with automatically adjusting parameters, and using the Ve (3,3) economic design model to predict decentralized markets.

Demo Day Details

• Time: September 29, 12:00 - 15:00 (GMT+8)
• Format: Live streaming on the official Sui YouTube channel via StreamYard.

Demonstration Process

• Participating teams: 10 minutes per team (5 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A)
• Sponsors Display: including Alibaba Cloud, MoveBit, OtterSec

Review Criteria

• The jury will be selected from industry experts by the Sui Foundation and its partners.
• Each reviewer scores based on preset criteria, calculating the total score after removing the highest and lowest scores.
• Use standardized average scores to determine the winners of each award
• The results of the competition will be announced on October 2.
