Whale heavy signal! Strategy suggests buying more Bitcoin, strategic assets have surpassed 71 billion dollars.
Michael Saylor, the Executive Chairman of Strategy, stated on Sunday (July 20) that he will continue to purchase more Bitcoin (BTC) as the company's total holdings of Bitcoin have exceeded the 7.1 billion dollar mark.
The most recent purchase occurred on July 14, when Strategy spent $472.5 million to acquire an additional 4,225 BTC, bringing its total Bitcoin holdings to 601,550 BTC, which is equivalent to over $71.4 billion at current market prices.
Data from Saylor Tracker shows that this investment has generated approximately $28.5 billion in unrealized gains, with a return of 66.5%.
Bitcoin holding companies like Strategy are now one of the main drivers of Bitcoin demand in the current market cycle, alongside ETFs, institutional investors, and centralized exchanges.

Strategy Breakthrough with Bitcoin Rebound
The stock price of Strategy has soared 21.52% over the past month, with the company's valuation surpassing $118 billion. This increase coincides with a strong recovery in the cryptocurrency market, with the total cryptocurrency market capitalization exceeding $4 trillion in July, and Bitcoin also reaching an all-time high.
In December 2024, Strategy was officially included in the Nasdaq 100 index, indicating a growing demand from institutional investors for the company's stock.
Due to legal or internal restrictions, many institutional investors are unable to directly hold Bitcoin in their portfolios. Therefore, they choose to invest indirectly by purchasing stocks of companies like Strategy or holding corporate bonds of these companies as a substitute for holding Bitcoin.
Macroeconomist Lynn Alden commented: "The managed asset size reaches trillions of dollars, many of which are subject to strict limitations. For example, some funds can only purchase stocks and cannot buy bonds, ETFs, or commodities."
A typical example is Vanguard, which is one of the largest investment companies in the world and has long refused to directly hold Bitcoin or offer Bitcoin to its clients.
It is worth noting that the Vanguard Group currently holds 20 million shares of Strategy stock, accounting for 8% of its total outstanding shares.
The indirect participation of traditional financial giants such as Vanguard indicates that Bitcoin is gradually integrating into the traditional financial system through traditional investment tools.
