State-Registered Token Supported by Uzbekistan Government Bonds

The national payment system HUMO announced that it has launched a project to issue its own token backed by Uzbek state bonds. The new token is issued by HUMO Digital, a subsidiary of the system. This represents an important step in advancing innovative financial solutions in the country's economy.

The issuance of the HUMO token has been registered in the Unified Electronic Crypto Assets Registry held by the National Future Projects Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NAPP). The custody and auditing of the token’s collateral is carried out by the Asterium cryptocurrency custody organization. The HUMO token is supported by Uzbekistan government bonds, which ensure its stability and protect against sudden price fluctuations.

The HUMO token is a project of the national payment system HUMO, which is one of the key driving forces behind Uzbekistan's digital transformation in the financial sector. With over 35 million card issuances and deep integration into the country's banking and retail infrastructure, HUMO plays a vital role in the daily financial lives of millions of citizens.

The launch of the token aims to attract foreign investment, simplify business payments, and enhance financial transparency. A token backed by government bonds strengthens control over transactions and increases confidence in innovative financial instruments.

The HUMO token offers several key advantages: instant and automatic fiat currency conversion, no delays or intermediaries, lower transaction costs, and complete transparency and security thanks to blockchain-based data recording.

The current stage aims to test settlement and integration mechanisms with the participation of businesses and retail users, and to explore real-world use cases of the supported token in financial processes.

The project plans to offer new features for companies looking to use advanced tools for payments and operations in the future. The HUMO token will be integrated into payment solutions and is expected to be listed on digital commerce platforms. The issuance and circulation mechanisms are designed to seamlessly adapt to Uzbekistan's existing financial infrastructure.

The operator of the National Interbank Transaction Center (HUMO national system, Deputy Chairman of the Board Maqsad Mukhitdinov stated:

The issuance of the HUMO token is a logical step in the evolution of our ecosystem aimed at creating a secure and regulated asset. By combining the advantages of blockchain technology with the reliability of our national payment infrastructure, we aim to provide user convenience and transparency.

Asterium Director Komilkhuzha Sultonov added the following:
