Analysts expect the Nikkei 225 index to fall back to 42,000 points by the end of the year.

Jin10 data reported on August 20, Reuters survey: Strategists say that the Nikkei 225 index may retreat from its recent record highs as the year-end approaches, but this largely depends on the fragile trade agreement between the US and Japan. The median estimates of 18 analysts surveyed show that the index has risen more than 9% so far this year, but is expected to fall back to 42,000 points by the end of December.
