Trump expressed hope that Israel and Iran could reach a protocol.

According to a report by Reuters, U.S. President Trump stated on Sunday (June 15) that he hopes Israel and Iran can reach a protocol, but he indicated that sometimes countries must first fight.

During his trip to Canada for the G7 summit, Trump told reporters that the United States will continue to support Israel's defense but refused to disclose whether he asked U.S. allies to pause their strikes against Iran.

"I hope to be able to reach a protocol. I think it's time to reach a protocol now, and we will wait and see. Sometimes they have to argue, but we will wait and see," Trump said.

Israel and Iran launched new attacks on Sunday, resulting in civilian casualties and raising concerns about a wider regional conflict, with both militaries urging each other's civilians to take precautions to prevent further attacks.
