The unconventional correlation between Bitcoin and Japan's 30-year government bond yield is being followed.
Gate News bot message, macro strategist Weston Nakamura pointed out that analysts are increasingly focusing on the unconventional correlation between Bitcoin (BTC) and the Japanese 30-year government bond yield.
Nakamura believes that this correlation has recently been stronger than the traditional correlation with the US stock market, suggesting that a deeper macro transformation is occurring in the global financial market, indicating that Japan's influence on cross-asset market dynamics is increasing.
As investors navigate complex macroeconomic factors, Bitcoin continues to test the key support level around $104,300, reflecting both a cautious attitude among investors and ongoing market volatility.
In addition, Rick Maeda from Presto Research warned that if cryptocurrencies continue to ignore the growing threat of quantum computing, they may face disaster. He recently released a report on quantum risks, stating that the industry is not prepared.
He said in an interview that a key obstacle is the issue of economic incentives, and investors remain reluctant to fund quantum-resistant technology because he believes it is "difficult to find a way to monetize it."
He added, "The biggest risk of inadequate preparation for cryptocurrencies is waiting too long." He believes that blockchains relying on elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) urgently need systematic preparation to defend against future quantum attacks.
Although there is no need to panic immediately, Maeda emphasizes that it is necessary to gradually and continuously strengthen the defensive capabilities of encryption technology before quantum threats become a reality.
