The UK and the US are about to reach a trade protocol involving steel and automobile tariffs and quotas.

Gate.io News bot message, the Financial Times reported that the UK and the US are in the final stages of discussing a trade protocol. This protocol will ease the actual burden of the 25% tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on related products in February and March by setting lower tariff quotas for steel and automobile exports.

The protocol is scheduled to be signed this week. The UK side has made concessions on digital services tax, tariffs on American cars, and agricultural products. British officials pointed out that the content of the protocol is limited in scope, and the differences in the pharmaceutical sector have still not been resolved.
