Abstract generation in progress

Golden Finance reported that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin proposed replacing the current Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) contract language with the RISC-V instruction set architecture to enhance the speed and efficiency of the execution layer of the Ethereum network. In his proposal on April 20, Buterin outlined several long-term bottlenecks in Ethereum network scaling, including stable data availability sampling, ensuring competitive block production, and zero-knowledge EVM proofs. Buterin believes that implementing the RISC-V architecture in smart contracts can maintain the competitiveness of the block production market and improve the efficiency of zero-knowledge functions in the execution layer. He wrote: "Shard chain work has great potential to significantly simplify the consensus layer of Ethereum, but for the execution layer to achieve similar benefits, this radical change may be the only viable path."
