The Argentine Chamber of Deputies approved an investigation into President Milei's involvement in the Libra meme coin incident.

PANews, April 9 news, according to The Block, the Argentine House of Representatives has passed three drafts to officially launch an investigation into President Javier Milei and related officials' involvement in the Libra meme coin controversy. The coin was issued by Kelsier Ventures in February, and Milei publicly promoted it on the X platform, claiming it would support local startup projects. Subsequently, the coin's price experienced a big pump to a market capitalization of $2 billion before suffering a big dump of over 90%. Milei later denied knowledge of the situation and withdrew his support, while the opposition called for impeachment. The prosecution has requested Interpol to issue a red notice for the project party CEO Hayden Davis.
