As per a recent announcement on Truth Social, subscribers will accumulate gems on their accounts based on their level of engagement, which will later be linked to a utility token.

Truth Social Introduces Utility Token and Loyalty Rewards Program

In the latest development, Donald Trump-founded Truth Social has announced in an official post the potential launch of a utility token as part of its new loyalty rewards program. According to reports, this program will offer rewards exclusively to Patriot Package subscribers based on their active status. These rewards will later be connected to a utility token on both Truth Social and Truth+. The statement read,

In the near future, based on their level of engagement with the platforms, Patriot Package subscribers will accumulate gems on their Truth Social accounts. These will eventually be tied to a utility token on both Truth Social and Truth+.

Notably, this development follows Donald Trump Jr.’s purchase of 350,000 shares of Thumzup Media. This buy, valued at $4 million, aimed at bolstering the company’s crypto strategy, accumulating Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Litecoin (LTC).

Further, the platform provided details on its public BETA testing for its new Truth+ streaming plan, the Patriot Package. As per the announcement, this subscription offers a range of benefits, including ultra-fast streaming of premium news channels with a focus on non-woke content, a wider selection of video-on-demand, and exclusive features, such as boosted comments, a red checkmark, and a Truth+ badge. In essence, the package aims to provide patriotic Americans with a reliable source of news and entertainment, free from mainstream influences.

Truth Social’s Crypto Ambitions

Interestingly, the parent company, Trump Media & Technology Group, has a history of exploring crypto initiatives. This latest move follows closely on the heels of Truth Social’s filing for a crypto blue-chip ETF, which will feature prominent digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Cronos.

In April, as CoinGape reported, the company announced that the platform is planning to introduce a utility token designed to power its ecosystem. In May, there were growing rumors that Truth Social was launching its own meme coin. However, the company quickly quashed the rumors.
