Android banking Trojan Crocodilus upgrades, global encryption users suffer attacks.
Gate News bot message: According to the latest security alert released by the Slow Fog team, the Android banking Trojan Crocodilus has been upgraded and is launching attacks globally against encryption users and banking application users.
The Trojan spreads through fake browser updates delivered via Facebook ads. The attacker uses overlay attacks to steal user login credentials, and it also has the capability to extract encryption wallet seed phrases and private keys. In addition, the attacker implants fake "bank support" numbers in the user's contact list.
It is reported that the Trojan has started to be rented out in the form of Malware-as-a-Service (, charging 100-300 USDT for each attack. The Slow Mist team advises users to be cautious about unknown application updates and advertisement links.
