According to ChainCatcher news and reported by Cointelegraph, Czech Justice Minister Pavel Blazek has announced his resignation on May 30 due to controversy over his department's sale of Bitcoin donated by a convicted criminal. The Ministry of Justice previously announced on social media platform X that it had raised approximately 1 billion Czech korunas (about 45 million USD) by auctioning nearly 500 BTC. Subsequent reports by Czech news media Denik N revealed that this BTC came from the convicted operator of the dark web platform Sheep Marketplace, Tomas Jirikovsky. In March of this year, Jirikovsky's lawyer offered Blazek a donation of one-third of a BTC, but Blazek accepted the donation without fully investigating the source of the funds. The police are currently investigating the source of this BTC.
