ChainCatcher news, Nomad Capital managing partner Erick Zhang tweeted, "The unlocked amount is not equivalent to the circulating supply. Many project parties claim the token unlocked amount as the circulating supply, falsely reporting the market capitalization, which leads to data platforms displaying incorrect data and misguiding investors. It is recommended that investors check the on-chain data themselves to derive the correct market capitalization. Taking the BTCfi project Corn as an example, its actual circulating supply is only at most 3%, corresponding to a market capitalization of about 3 million dollars, instead of the 25% circulating supply shown on the project party's website. Coingecko also simply displays the project party's self-reported 25% circulating supply, thus incorrectly showing a 30 million dollar market capitalization."
